2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup readiness project

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand in July and August 2023.

Perth has been announced as a host city, with matches to be played at Perth Rectangular Stadium.

In the lead up to the event, the State Government is investing $35 million to upgrade some of the ageing facilities at the venue ahead of the event.

Construction is due to commence in May, with most of the works to be undertaken between May 2022 and January 2023.
